Basic questions about what AutoMinds is and how it works.

What is AutoMinds?

AutoMinds is an AI-powered content generation app for Shopify. It lets you create SEO-optimized blog posts, product descriptions, landing pages, and social media content directly inside your Shopify admin, in seconds, not hours.

Is AutoMinds embedded inside Shopify admin?

Yes. AutoMinds is a fully embedded Shopify app. It lives inside your Shopify admin panel just like any native Shopify tool, no separate logins, no external tabs, and no API key management required.

Do I need any technical skills to use AutoMinds?

No technical skills are required. AutoMinds is designed for Shopify store owners and marketers. You fill in a simple form, click Generate, and the AI handles everything, no coding, no API configuration, no setup process.

What content formats does AutoMinds support?

AutoMinds generates four content types:

Blog Posts: Full HTML articles with SEO headings and meta description
Product Descriptions: Title and description connected to your Shopify catalog
Landing Pages: Complete standalone HTML pages with inline CSS
Social Media Content: Platform-specific captions for Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter/X

How AI generation works, quality tips, and publishing.

What AI models does AutoMinds use?

AutoMinds uses OpenAI GPT-5 mini for text generation and gpt-image-1 for image generation, with Google Gemini 2.0 Flash and Imagen 3 as automatic fallbacks. If one model is unavailable, the system seamlessly switches to ensure uninterrupted service.

Does AutoMinds publish content automatically to my store?

By default, all content is saved as a draft first. This gives you full control to review and approve before anything goes live. You can publish directly to Shopify from within AutoMinds with a single click after reviewing.

Can I regenerate content I don't like?

Yes. Every piece of content has a Regenerate option. You can update your prompt, change the tone or focus, and generate a fresh version. Each regeneration uses 1 credit from your monthly plan limit.

How long does content generation take?

Social media captions: ~3–5 seconds
Product descriptions: ~5–8 seconds
Blog posts: ~8–20 seconds
Landing pages: ~12–20 seconds

How do I get better content quality?

The more specific your input, the better the output. Best practices:

Use a detailed topic, e.g. "Summer sale blog for women's activewear targeting fitness beginners" instead of "blog post"
Select the correct tone that matches your brand voice
Add your target keywords to improve SEO relevance
Specify your target audience for more focused messaging

Billing & Plans

Pricing, plan limits, and subscription management.

How does billing work?

Billing is handled entirely through Shopify's built-in subscription system. You're charged every 30 days and can cancel anytime from your Shopify admin. No separate billing accounts needed. The free plan requires no credit card.

Is there a free plan?

Yes. AutoMinds offers a free plan with 1 blog article, 2 social media posts, and 10 product descriptions per month. No credit card is required to install or use the free plan. Landing pages are not included on the free plan.

Can I cancel my subscription anytime?

Yes. Go to your Shopify admin → Apps → AutoMinds → Plan Settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing cycle. You won't be charged again after cancellation.

Do unused credits roll over to the next month?

No, unused credits do not roll over. Your generation count resets at the start of each billing cycle. Upgrading your plan at any time doesn't cause any data loss.

Technical

Compatibility, permissions, and how the app works under the hood.

Does AutoMinds work with all Shopify themes?

Yes. AutoMinds saves content as Shopify blog posts or pages, both are theme-agnostic. Blog posts inherit your theme's blog styling. Landing pages are self-contained HTML with inline CSS, so they look the same regardless of your active theme.

What happens if the AI model is unavailable?

AutoMinds has automatic failover built in. If the primary model (OpenAI GPT-5 mini) is unavailable, the system automatically switches to the fallback (Google Gemini 2.0 Flash) without any action needed on your end.

Privacy & Data

How your data is handled, stored, and protected.

Does AutoMinds store my store data?

AutoMinds stores only the content generation history needed to display your previous outputs inside the app. Your Shopify store data (products, orders, customers) is never stored or shared with third parties. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

Is my data sent to OpenAI or Google?

Your prompt inputs (topic, tone, keywords) are sent to the AI model API to generate content. No Shopify customer data, order data, or payment data is sent to these providers. Both OpenAI and Google APIs are used under their respective enterprise privacy terms.

How do I delete my data?

You can delete your content history from within the app dashboard. Uninstalling AutoMinds from Shopify triggers an automatic data deletion request for all stored data associated with your store, in compliance with Shopify's app requirements.
