faq About Shopify Migration
Can i migrate several languages to Shopify?
Unfortunately, you cannot migrate several languages to Shopify. In this case, you can use an app that will allow to translate the storefront into multiple languages or exploit several stores.
Can i migrate product categories to Shopify?
Yes, you can possibly migrate categories and subcategories of products to Shopify. However, in Shopify, products will be located under collections only.
Therefore, all categories and subcategories of products from the Source Store will be changed into collections in Shopify.
How can i check product meta fields on Shopify?
As you may have known, custom fields are not available on Shopify.
By default, our migration tool imports product attributes from your source store to meta fields on your Target Store. To have them displayed on Shopify admin, you will have to install the Metafields Guru app.
Will Customer Password be migrated to Shopify?
No way to migrate passwords from other platforms to Shopify, since each shopping cart has its own password encryption peculiarities, moreover Shopify was the hosted eCommerce solution and none can touch to Shopify database to check Shopify password encryption.
Why does Shopify migration take so long?
To ensure the platform remains stable and fair for everyone, all Shopify APIs are rate-limited. Shopify APIs use several different rate-limiting methods.
Why my product SKU couldn't be migrated to shopify?
On Shopify, SKUs are provided only for variants and simple products (products with no variants). Therefore, SKUs from your Source Store will be imported to variants or simple products on Shopify Store. That’s why you can’t migrate product SKU that are not simple product to Shopify.
